Lay Responder First Aid/CPR Training - Workplace Safety with AED
Lay Responder First Aid/CPR with AED
This 6-1/2 hour Lay Responder First Aid/CPR with AED course was developed by the American Red Cross to give individuals in the workplace the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses, including using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest, until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.
This course is designed to provide participants with the basic knowledge to recognize and handle an emergency, when and how to properly activate the emergency medical services (EMS) system, how to provide basic CPR, what to do in the case of an airway obstruction (choking), and how to utilize an AED.
There is an exam at the end of each course, which requires a minimum score of 70% or better to pass. Upon successful course completion, participants will receive a course completion card from Thomas Safety Solutions. Call for pricing, specific topics needed, or if you need special scheduling.
